Nine Lives- The Teifi Artists Group at Art Matters in Tenby

Members of the Teifi Artist Group have exhibited individually with Art Matters at the White Lion Street Gallery in Tenby for many years. Each time we visit it is a real pleasure to be met with with a smile by John or Margaret, sometimes both and made to feel so special. This time we  are showing as a group.

The gallery is always a  delight to visit with a monthly change of main exhibition accompanied by smaller spaces full of work by their carefully chosen  group of artists. They have work on many themes but they say the majority is landscape because 'thats what they bring us'. There is a whole selection of artists original prints- (they don't do reproductions) with work by national and internationally renowned printmakers.
The TAG group formed a long while ago to provide mutual support for those involved, for discussion, networking and cake. They occasionally exhibit together. In April we will be presenting a personal selection of pieces from nine of the members, inevitably showing the diversity of talents and interests within the group.

Back Lane - Tenby

Having completed the posters for the square pegs I was able to get back to a couple of paintings that have been on the easel for a couple of weeks now. This one of the back lanes, down by the harbour had reached the not quite finished stage and needed a couple of full days when I was going to be able to concentrate. The good weather last week meant that there were much better light conditions in the studio which makes it all so much easier.

The same picture - before completion - can be seen in the latest edition of County Life magazine - thanks to Jenny White for this really well written article about Glenn and myself.
